suddenly late polls on CNN, show enthusiastic grass-roots inching Repukes up! |
|
Yeah right! those %$*&^%$*& lying media @%$#*&!!! can go sell that big bag of $%!+ somewhere else! I'll say this right now! With what I'm hearing and seeing right in the red-state hell of Alabama, if we don't take HOUSE AND SENATE we were robbed! Do you hear it? Can you hear those murmuring voices across America? The corporate con job is coming to an end one way or the other. can they make big bucks with boycotts and general strikes? Wait don't answer yet, it's growing... Just listen... shhh, it's getting louder...

1. Ignore it...this happens EVERY election... |
|
Media always talks about a late surge by the trailing party...
1994 had dems down slightly or actually up in some generic polls...
Even in 1988...when everyone and their Grandmother knew Dukakis was gonna lose...the median started pumping a last minute surge for him...
Just ignore it...the dynamics in place for more than a year are not going to dramatically change in one night!

6. Unfortunately, now that's no longer the point. |
|
In those past years, we didn't have so much election fraud to contend with.
Now, "surging" polls can serve very well to cover up a great con job with the fraud.
With the polls the way they were, it would be too hard to claim a victory.
So, they gotta peddle...

Claim a Pug surge in the polls, "surprise" wins for Pugs, further discredit to polls and explanation for stolen seats nothing more to see here move along is this a great country or what the system works god bless....

We also think alike... I was expecting something like this.
I'm not that devious, so I didn't know what they'd do, but I was sure expecting something.
I'm afraid tomorrow is going to disappoint a lot of people.
I'm heading to the hills. :)
Welcome, and have a good day tomorrow! :hi:

My username is a hybrid of Bobbys--Kennedy and Darin. But Bobby with a "y" was taken.
Well, I hope there's a chance tomorrow, and I don't wanna be the downer here, but I think democracy died in 1963 and now they're nailing the coffin shut. Too bad that generation was so easily duped.

~~guffaw~~
Yes, we were naive. That's a good thing, too, but it sure caused some problems. We really didn't understand that there was so much evil afoot. We learned to spot agent provacateurs at our rallies and such, but didn't grasp the full depth of it.
Since you're able to listen, and not dump all over me because I'm not in the rah-rah crowd, I will also say that even if we have the numbers to overcome all the fraud, and even if they don't have devilish contingency plans to keep themselves out of lockup, there's still the corporations and they certainly aren't going to stand for a peaceful turnover of power.
I certainly don't have the means to change all that, so I'm trying not to worry about it, but I just can't share in all the excitement. Been there too many times, and it hurts when the bottom falls out.
As a poor person, Bobby Kennedy is a sacred image to me, as to thousands, and I grieve anew every time I think of him.
I"m glad you're keeping his memory alive. Wish he had someone following in his footsteps!
:hi:
Peace,
bobbolink, with an "ie" :)

They do this to generate viewership. They cannot say "Well, it's pretty much been sewn up by the Dems...check Wednesday in your local paper to see exactly which seats have been won by whom."
They are gonna say "Repukes are surging from behind(not just Mark Foley) and they are making a real race of it...Tune in all day for minute by minute coverage".
This actually comforts me. I would be more worried if they were confidently gloating. They are scared as shit, and all they can say is that they are seeing a last minute surge NO other polls have seen until today.
Enjoy it. This is what it feels like going into a win.

16. some talking head on Larry King Lives-lost... they don't say which poll... |
|
you know, it's like the typical lead, "Democrats, are saying..." I think that opening is the most over-worked phrase in modern news. Back when i worked in media we had to say WHO said certain things. Even in college it was the who, what, when, where, how much, how many of journalism 101 but that was the deionized "LIBERAL MEDIA." As we all know, conservatives don't have to follow the same rules, as us screwed-up bleeding heart liberals!

is my biggest gripe... We can thank good old senile Ray-gun for that one. With his background, he knew exactly what he was doing by turning the FCC into a toothless lion! I've been happy as clam all night, then I turned on my TV, like a fool. You are close to right, Nance, however, it's not a pill I need... I usually medicate with a remote! brb, I'll go get the cure.

That's the average of ALL the major polls, which you'd think might be a bit better for the GOP, but it wasn't. It was down down down. They're pulling some bullshit now.
