John Kerry is one of 'em who talks like he has guts... |
|
...and he is the one who LISTENED to ME.
That is the difference- he LISTENED TO ME. I dont take that lightly at all.
Kerry gets my money. The others get none. I'll consider giving money to those who back Kerry and those who run against the pro Unitary executive "democrats" as well.
Regretfully, that probably goes for the DNC too, which is regrettable- but I cant take the chance of Dean (who I like) distributing my money to people who are pro unitary executive/anti Democratic base. I'll be letting the DNC know that this money I use to give will now go to DU or Moveon, or specifically to anti-unitary executive DEMS.
When pro-unitary executive/anti Democratic base "democrats" ask for money, I'll suggest they call "the people who take those polls you care so much about." I've never been polled, btw.
So- I'm not leaving the party, of course. never said I would!
I'm staying to fight the excuse making "Democrats" and to prop up the good guys.
I'm glad that Kerry has given me a candidate to hitch my wagon to- now I can be more positive.
Thanks for listening, back to work for me.
Doc

3. That's what President Kerry does. |
|
He listens to people. He gives them concern where it COUNTS-- up close and personal, rather than distantly from the television, overpromised and underdelivered.
Y'know, I think he's figured out how to turn the MSM spin about his "stiff, wooden" TV persona to his advantage. It's a bit like what Columbo does... you know, that really smart detective who plays dumb, so he lowers people's expectations... then wallops them.
Kerry has always surprised the hell out of people when he meets them in person-- there, he radiates warmth and leaves many scratching their heads at what the TV has always told them about him.
And now he's done the same thing with the "Kerry is weak" MSM message. He let it simmer for a while-- then, at the right moment, the moment when it really COUNTED, he absolutely blew it up.
Men like him made me fall in love with politics again.

4. Why not fight the Republicans, instead? |
|
"So- I'm not leaving the party, of course. never said I would! I'm staying to fight the excuse making "Democrats"
The excuse-making Democrats have a pretty good excuse. Everytime they stand up to the Republicans the Republicans attack them viciously, and we're not around. So we get 'em all hyped up to take the hit, then we make them take the hit alone.
Don't get me wrong, I think the Democrats need to stand together, pick a consensus position on most issues and fight the Republicans every inch of the way. But they're still, generally speaking, Democrats.
Which is way better than the alternative.

6. I'll fight Republicans AND oppose Anti-Democratic Base "Democrats" |
|
Unlike some of the pro-unitary executive, anti-Democratic base "Democrats", I can do two things at once.
One way I'll fight Republicans is to promote Democrats who fight them and oppose Democrats who refuse to.
This is what I'll do. You do what you want to do under this "big tent."

8. I'm done bitching. I'm acting out from now on. |
|
Kerry has inspired me- I'm hitching to his wagon and going from there.
I'm tired of being upset and cynical- so I'm going to be positive about the DEMS I like.
The DEMs who thought it would be cute to ignore the base one more time are dead to me. I'll let them know and be done with it.
You will see a change in my tone from here on out- I'm all about DEMs, but only the ones who listen to me.

:) Him and Michael Moore. :D If you can try to find Nancy Pelosi's daughters documentary on the DNC primaries. It shows Kerry very well and how he got to where he was and she followed the canidates. I love it quite personally. :)

18. I'm feeling slightly optimistic about Kerry. |
|
Which is more than I can say for any of the other Democratic hopefuls.
However, I remember how everything went sour during the last election, how Kerry was swift-boated, how no one challenged the Republicans on that smear, and how no one challenged the voting irregularities.
So I'm not doing cartwheels yet.

left his defense on the editting room floor.
Research forum has the entire timeline and his actions. See how many you saw in the corporate media.

19. Dr. Fate, keep fighting the fight and holding feet to the fire |

The good people up on CapHill appreciate it when you do that. They know that they are supposed to listen to the people.
You go on being you and being a good advocate for responsbility and principle. We need this now. It's what all good believers in real democracy do.
I salute you. :patriot:
