9. DU PR messages are moderated-

To the disdain of many.
I set the board up some time ago as a meeting place
for the times when DU was down-
Unfortunately, I have only been able to find two other
mods for the board who are trusted DUers, so sometimes the
action is slow depending on our mod duty availibility, so please be
patient, should you join and try to post.
I am planning on being on duty tomorrow after work, and
after I VOTE!

Election results will be coming in Wednesday morning my time, and it's a regular work day for me, but I might have some time available in my morning. Maybe 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Japan time, which would be 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

set up only as an emergency site for the times when DU was down.

10. Be aware ...

"Former" DUers may still be 'members' of the Panic Room. Since the Group facilitates individual email, it's possible that one could receive hate mail (like I did) from some "former" DUer with an axe to grind. "Emotionally stable" is NOT a term I'd apply to many "former" DUers.

:shrug: There are some real bizarro types on the Internets ... and DU membership isn't an infallible sanity test.

I just logged in there to make sure I could remember my PW. Naturally, I couldn't and had to go through the Yahoo-password-and-login-reminder two-step to straighten out.

edit: The Panic Room has been a steady source for those that find themselves unable to get to DU during (insert your own 'whatever reason' here) for quite some time. Normally one finds others that are experiencing the same difficulties logging into DU, and an answer to why, when, or what to do is shortly provided by someone in most cases.

Kudos to BHN for her work in keeping up the site ... rest assured you will find someone else there advise, pass the time and wait it out, hold your virtual hand, etc. It's always nice to know you are not alone.
