America needs at least six days to vote, not just 12 hours |
|
Monday through Saturday would be good, a whole six days to vote, no crunch, no long lines, no disappointments. Having it all occur on half a Tuesday is just inefficient and archaic for today's busy voter.

3. I disagree. Absentee voting negates any need for a six day vote. |
|
Besides, I couldn't stand the suspense.

I think that a 12 hour window really puts working people (by that I mean "blue collar" workers, service industry workers ... ) at a disadvantage ... it makes it inconvenient and discourages people from voting.
We need to be encouraging and facilitating more involvement, not less.
