1. Not if that article is to believed.
Let us hope that this cycle that it is incorrect. In the past that simplistic method was probably adequate for analyzing races, this time I believe it insufficient.

2. I felt sick
"Early voting" I walked up to the counter, and received an "Absentee Provisional" ballot. I asked about its title and was told "that's just what they're called."

I started to hand her my voter registration card, and she made a flicking motion with her hand, and said, "I don't need to see that." I asked why not, and got no answer.

I went out in the hall, sat down, and began to fill in each oval individually with a provided INK pen, even though the instructions stated #2 pencil.

I wanted to :puke:

3. WHY didn't you demand to speak to her supervisor?
It's your vote - if you feel someone is dissing it or tampering with it, by all means, step up to the plate and make that little pissant quiver.

5. How do you know
when the procedure is somehow improper? The reason I didn't question anything is because the courthouse was getting ready to close, and everyone in the office was standing right there waiting for me to finish.

Maybe I should call "the #" and report what happened...ask them if it sounds right? The auditor IS a Reptilican.

4. I've never had them ask for my card
so that seems normal.

The pen rather than pencil seems odd, if that's what the ballot said. But all the opti-scan machines I have used had pens

6. Do they count absentee ballots by hand?
I voted absentee last year, and it said pencil. It's almost as if "early voting" is a combo of absentee & regular voting.

12. I don't know
never done early voting. I don't think it's an option here, just absentee. But I haven't done either.

WTF??, she didnt want to see your card?, and you should have DEMANDED an answer to your question...who cares if the court is closing?

I bet you 50 bucks your "ballot" was trashed.

or maybe tomorrow. Or maybe in a few weeks.

I'm optimistic and jaded all at the same time.
