If both House and Senate go to the left
How many GOP underlings with knowledge will be wetting their pants? I'm expecting a veritable hailstorm of shoeless, mid-level thugs near tall buildings, lots of small plane crashes and "suicide" rates to skyrocket between now and January.

1. Isn't calling the US Democratic Party "the left" kind of a stretch?
"the center" would be more accurate. And a vast improvement over "the right."

3. Anything that isn't the far right "mainstream" neocons
I can live for the next couple years with the pendulum just coming back to center....

5. Centre-right is more like it...
there's not really a viable "left" in American politics, unfortunately--reminds me of something I read by an American explaining US politics to a Brit: "We have two parties...the Reupblicans, who are a lot like your Conservative Party, and the Democrats, who...um...well, they're a lot like your Conservative Party, too, actually..."

But, yes, still a vast improvement over having the government controlled by right-wing extremists.

6. Since when is the Democratic party "the Left"
If I were a paranoid type I'd think someone who thought like that was a troll.
