Kiryas Joel — Mayor Abraham Wieder and his allies have dropped their support for Rep. Sue Kelly, R-Katonah, and will throw a few thousand Kiryas Joel votes today to her Democratic challenger, John Hall, in a close congressional race.

Kiryas Joel has a very high voter turnout rate, generally in the 90% range. This village usually casts as many votes as citys or towns that have 15 times the population of KJ. We could learn a lot from their GOTV effort.
on edit = IMHO

1. Where is the village located?
Newspapers need to update their websites so that at least the state in which they are located is identified on every page.

Also, please note the poll "Who will win the majority?" Of what, I ask, as I check of Democrats. This poll needs DUing. It's neck and neck with a slight Democratic lead.

2. KJ is in Orange County, NY. USA NYS CD 19
KJ usually supports whoever will win the election. They almost never back a losing candidate.

3. That would be amazing
I have been really worried about the nasty robocalls. The voters I contacted Sunday and Monday were annoyed, and some had dropped support.

Sue Kelly, you are SO FIRED!

See you at the victory party, mdmc!

Hall won by about 2000 votes. The village did win this election for Hall (if they had voted for Kelly, we would have lost).

6. Hall is such a cool guy
Yes, it looks like that village did put him over the top. I was so glad he won.
