Ward Map at my polling place was snow plow route
IN Waukesha, WI at 7:00 a.m. at the City Hall polling place for Wards 5 and 6, I walked in to vote and was greeted by a large colorful map of Waukesha. I looked at my address and saw it was in a designated area marked 9...Puzzled I looked at the tables...they said wards 6 and 5.

I thought did they change the wards with no notice?

I looked at the large colorful map and looked at the key and saw it was marked Snow Plow Routes...I assumed because it was in your face as you entered the door that it was the Ward map for Waukesha. (Waukesha is heavy GOP BTW)

This map was set up right as you entered the inner door....not thinking I went ahead and voted. WTMJ channel 4 had a crew on site and was video taping me vote. I left and starte driving to work when it struck me that someone might actually be very confused by the map. I was for a bit. But If someone didn't read a map well and moved to the area recently they would be very confused by this map. They would say they were in a certain ward and then the poll worker would say you need to go somewhere else.

I returned to the polling place and pointed the map out to the poll workers and to the TV crew. And asked that they remove that map as it is cuase for confusion and may cause someone who may be waiting in line to leave without voting. I did not stay to see if anyone moved the misleading map.

This seemed to me to be a little dirty trick.

2. If Waukesha is "heavy GOP"
wouldn't creating voter confusion there hurt the GOP more?

3. More dems are moving in
Recently voted a Dem mayor...The Ward I live in is growing in Dem voters. So any NEW people in my downtown ward will most likely be Dem voters. So If they are trying to create confusion it would be for new and first time voters.
