RNC Chairman: Don't let Dems turn Iraq into 'another Afghanistan'
RNC Chairman: Don't let Dems turn Iraq into 'another Afghanistan'

Ron Brynaert
Published: Tuesday November 7, 2006

Republican National Committee chairman Ken Mehlman appeared on at least three networks today to "remind" voters of the "difference" between the two parties when it comes to the war on terror.

Along with references to the Patriot Act, missile defense, and the surveillance program, Mehlman made an unusual remark regarding the current situation in Afghanistan.

"And again, in this war-on-terror issue, I think Americans want their leaders to have learned the lessons of 9/11, which is we need tools like the Patriot Act and the surveillance program, and it will be a big mistake to allow Iraq to become another Afghanistan, which unfortunately, I think, could happen if we followed the approach that Mr. Murtha and others have said," Mehlman said on CBS's Early Show.

4. Hello, American voters, we think you're stupid enough to believe this.
Does Ken not understand the messages he's sending out? "We turned Afghanistan into FUBAR. Iraq is FUBAR, too, but it will be more FUBAR with the Dems in charge."

They really do believe American voters are stupid.

Who was in charge, Ken? It was the Republican Congress and "Greasy George."

Wasn't the Dems as I recall. Of course I'm sure the CBS talking heads immediately put Larry bud in his place by reminding him of this fact.:sarcasm:

13. we're all powerful, didn't you know?
Despite being a minority in both houses of Congress and a minority in the Judiciary, and having no voice in the Executive Branch, and little voice in the media, our Vast Left Wing Conspiracy really controls it all at the behest of Barbra Streisand and other Hollywood liberals. Bush, Cheney, Hastert & Frist are really undercover left-wing activists who are doing their best to discredit conservatism for decades by disgracing our country, running up deficits, ruining the environment and more.

6. Query??
If the republicans are sooooo good at fighting terrorist, why are we still in Iraq. Why don't we have bin laden. Why are we wasting billions of dollars thru Halliburton. No republican ever seems to answer any of those questions. And the main one.....why -- why of all places and for what reason did bush invade Iraq?

8. Is Mehlman that bone-stupid?
Or does he think the American people are that stupid?

But it's a relief to know that all three networks grant him free air time. I'd hate to see bone-stupid people shut out of our national discourse.

Mehlman sure is looking haggard lately. I wonder if he's being straight with us?

17. What does he mean?
Another Afghanistan? That means Afghanistan is a disaster? And how is that Clinton's fault?

They didn't finish the job in Afghanistan, but it was THEY, THEM, the BFEE, the Administration! How can he think that it is the Democrats' fault? Or on what does he base that charge?

:rofl::rofl::rofl:
