The Mrs. and I just voted here in WI--the pollworker (a neighbor |
|
and nice person) said turnout was extraordinarily high for a mid-term. That's what I like to hear!

We've worked pretty hard up here, writing LTTE's and donating, etc. I keep thinking how nice it would be if WI didn't have such a useless bunch of hillbilly numbnuts running its legislature, so we've joined up with others in our area in targeting our assemblyman and state sen races. Of course, the national picture's important, too!

5. Husband just called to say that in Annapolis, MD |

there were lines at our polling place in mid-morning, usually a dead time. I went at 7:15, just after the polls opened and had to wait 25 minutes on a line. One of the poll workers walked our at one point, looked at the line and said "oh my God".

6. Long lines on Madison's east side |

I pass three polling places on my way to pre-school, day care and work. All had very, very long lines--this bodes well for our Governor, Rep. Baldwin, and saying NOOOOO to our nasty marriage amendment!

there was a line, about a five minute wait at the Appleton City Center. I've voted early before and have never seen that.

Just got back and it was surprisingly busy. Talked to one of the pollworkers and he told me the line actually ran out the door and outside for awhile. He said that never happens during the morning.
