Vote: people died to give you that right
what better way to honor America than to vote intelligently on election day.

Preventing legitimate people from voting should be considered treason.

4. I agree with you there.
Since our society's playing fast and lose by moving holidays to Monday to assure long weekends, I think I'll ask Pelosi to consider moving veterans day to the first Tuesday in November to coincide with Election Day.

Give more people the day off to honor vets in the best possible way, by voting.

6. Agreed. Election Day should be a MANDATORY national holiday........
no one would have an excuse to NOT vote.

2. Even that is not enough anymore
I've written LTTEs about e-voting and even started a ruckus at my polling place in 2004 about the new touch-screen machines. We have to make sure the votes are counted fairly now too.

5. Voting is NOT a right. It is a RESPONSIBILITY.
Use it or lose it. Democracy is not a spectator sport.

7. No sir, It is indeed a Right
It might also be a responsibility. But I'd argue that the responsibility is not merely to vote, but to vote intelligently.
