Who is voting for Lieberman? |
|
Seriously.
My wife and I didn't vote for him. Everyone we know in CT didn't or isn't planning on voting for him so where is that double-digit lead in the polls coming from?
Did they just not poll where I live or something?
I don't get it.

7. If he wins the anti war effort is dead, no ands no iffs no buts |
|
Joe was pro war. And continues to be pro war. If he wins then Bush will appoint him to Rummys post and a republican will take his place. Further more if Joe wins, is the end of the anti war movement for sure.

8. If I lived in Connecticut |
|
I'd probably vote for Joe. I just hate the idea of multi-billionaires (Lamont) being able to buy their way into power. Plus, besides his belief that Iraq is part of the war on terror, Joe's a staunch liberal and used to be an icon in our party. He's the only guy to have ever run against George Bush TWICE! He'd get my support, and I'm not afraid or intimidated to say it.

10. I just think that voting for anyone... |
|
...who supported Bush on Iraq all the way through should be voted out, D or R.
To not do so is rewarding failure imho.

13. If Liberman wins, the GOP will call it a mandate for the war |
|
Look Joe was and is the biggest backer of the war in our party. Hands down! If he wins the GOP will spin it to show that DNP has gone totally loony and swung wide left and that the sensible people decided enough is enough and voted for Joe. Regardless of how many seats they loose, if Joe stays they win. That, and I'm willing to bet money that once re-elected Joe will be picked to replace Rummy. Why? So the republican governor can appoint a republican in is place. For them its a win win. For the anti war movement it would be a huge loss! And if you think that things are bad now...just wait till Rummy is peplaced by good old reliable Red Joe!

not anti-war. There's a right way to fight and win the war on terror (Nancy and Kerry agree it's in Afghanistan) and a wrong way. After today, hopefully we'll start fighting it the right way.

24. The gop is known for spinning batshit crazy spin, & people are catching on |
|
Edited on Tue Nov-07-06 01:01 PM by me b zola
The fact is that the nation is overwhelmingly against this war and will go ape-shit crazy if the gop insists on shoving this down our throats. Yes, the rnc will have bat-shit crazy-ass spin in order to push their war agenda, but many repubs are thinking about '08 and the polls and are bailing on the far right.
Tomarrow will begin the spin and push for '08, so look for the gop to further fracture.:)

32. So what? Is there anything they WON'T call a "mandate" for whatever they do? |
|
How is it that ONE RACE is a "huge loss" in your mind, the complete and total "end of the anti-war movement"...
While dozens of impending Dem VICTORIES are meaningless? :wtf:
Take a look at the COMMITTEE CHAIRS that are turning Dem, and THEN try to say the Anti-war effort is "over".
The only thing that's OVER is the Repub warmonger's dictatorial stranglehold on our Nation's political process.

17. Good for us you are not in Connecticut! |
|
Joe is a traitor and no good can come from anybody who has enabled Bush like he has. But then again you are entitled to an opinion worthy of nothing, but not entitled to your own facts.
:hi:
And if you are a REAL soldier, then the troops need our continued support, not a Death sentence for a non noble cause in the midst of a Civil War. That's why so many Fightin' Dems :patriot:ran this year with actual real service records unlike the party of the Chickenhawks.

I think Joe is positioning himself to run up the middle for the presidency. He is demonstrating that he can get Republican votes. Joe has been a Democrat as long as the winds are blowing that way.
