I'll never forget his charisma when I met him at a book signing. I saw him just before his heart attack. He did look tired, and I wasn't surprised when his heart attack was announced a couple of days later, but I tell you what, for someone hours away from a heart attack he still looked pretty edible. There were women around me of every age, and we were all drooling.
