Seriously.... what do you think our chances in the senate are??? |
|
I wonder how correct the polls are. The polls are saying Loserman is way ahead in CT.... but in my very conservative town it's all about Lamont. Could I just have a different perspective then the rest of the state?
In general I am confident about the house, but don't know how high to get my hopes for the senate and wonder what the real chances are.

1. This may be "pie in the sky" but |

I heard yesterday that when you have an incumbent polling at below 50%, that's a good indication that they're headed for a defeat. In that case, Missouri, Virginia, Rhode Island, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Montana should give us control. Maryland and Tennessee are more difficult, but my fingers, toes, legs, etc. are crossed for Cardin and Ford. (Cardin's got a better chance than Harold, unfortunately, but IT AIN'T OVER YET!)

2. I just get so suspicious of these news shows and polls |
|
where Dems were way ahead and then low and behold they are all spouting off these huge Republican gains at the last minute and I really am scared of disappointment.

MO., NJ, RI, and MT look good for us. I think Webb, McCaskill, Menendez, Whitehouse, and Tester will win. OHIO and PA. are ours. DeWine is finished and INSANEtorum needs to find another job...starting tomorrow.:)

4. I think chances of taking the Senate are better than they look. |
|
On the surface, things have tightened up and Dem leads have narrowed or even evaporated. But a number of those states have had very high early voter stats. And remember - a lot of those early voters cast their ballots when the Dem candidates were peaking in popularity and before the nasty GOP ads hit the air.

8. Time for a chair boogie! |

Those of you with swivel chairs, we want to see some fancy moves! Everyone else can do the Suburban White Guy Overbite and your best arm action.
Better than walking around with that "It's a small world" playing on an endless maddening loop in your head.

I want to get excited.... but I was so nervous. I should be more optimistic.
