Wasn't there low turnout back in '94? here in Georgia, rain=loss for incumbents |
|
I definitely remember a rainy day here in Georgia in 2002 when Max Cleland lost and our democratic governor lost also, despite having sizeable leads in the polls going into the day, but the rain turned away the casual voters, and it was the "angry, change-minded voters" who made the diffference.
Shouldn't low turnout actually help our side because it means only the most dedicated voters will make it to the polls? I truly believe we have more dedicated and angry voters on our side.

Seriously, is Mother Nature trying to tell us something? And it's the other way around - a casual voter will stay home, i.e. Democrats. A Republican will get off their deathbed to go vote. I see today as hurting us.
