Voted in suburban Bergen County, NJ |

At 3:30 pm I was voter #365 in my district which has a total of approximately 1,100 voters, so about a 33% turnout so far. My district is generally Republican, though it does swing to Democratic occasionally (like last year). In other, more Democratic parts of town, my understanding is that the turnout is way up for a midterm election, over 40% so far after talking to the town's Dem Chairman who I met at the polls.
Elsewhere in NJ, from bluejersey.net:
Significantly, the news from Newark and Hudson County is of high urban voter turnout - which is good news for Senator Menendez. Turnout in Hoboken has been very strong, with State Senator and HCDO Chair Bernard Kenny predicting:
perhaps 11,000 people might vote, compared to 9,000 last year, and an overwhelming majority would vote for Mr. Menendez.
That's more than a 20% increase in Hoboken alone. If Menendez can run up the score in key Democratic Counties like Hudson, Essex, Bergen and Camden, there just won't be enough votes out there for Junior to catch up.
