Poll question: Anyone else write off the election when the baseball player crashed his plane into the NY building? |
|
I thought it was all over for us this election before we found out it wasn't terra. Man, I was really shook up that day before we found out what really happened. I admit it. I think I just about swallowed my tongue.

1. I'll admit to thoughts |
|
that the Repubs would try to spin the accident into something else.

3. No. But I'm still pissed at the ball player. |
|
And FURIOUS that our airspace was left unprotected up to that moment.

4. Something Else: I was worried even after we found out it wasn't terror. However, |
|
once we found out that it was a celebrity, I wasn't worried about its impact on the election.
I knew that the story would shift from: "Plane Hits Building" to: "Baseball Player Killed in Crash"
The fact that it was a celebrity dampened terrorism fears and shifted the focus of the story. Plus, it did a lot to keep conspiracy theories involving terrorism from taking hold.
