Poll question: Anyone else write off the election when the baseball player crashed his plane into the NY building?
I thought it was all over for us this election before we found out it wasn't terra. Man, I was really shook up that day before we found out what really happened. I admit it. I think I just about swallowed my tongue.

1. I'll admit to thoughts
that the Repubs would try to spin the accident into something else.

3. No. But I'm still pissed at the ball player.
And FURIOUS that our airspace was left unprotected up to that moment.

4. Something Else: I was worried even after we found out it wasn't terror. However,
once we found out that it was a celebrity, I wasn't worried about its impact on the election.

I knew that the story would shift from: "Plane Hits Building" to: "Baseball Player Killed in Crash"

The fact that it was a celebrity dampened terrorism fears and shifted the focus of the story. Plus, it did a lot to keep conspiracy theories involving terrorism from taking hold.
