6. 6 P.M. EST polls close in Indiana and Kentucky. |
|
Each provides a window into tonight's election. Kentucky has two Republican seats that are being contested: the 3rd and the 4th districts. I think both are leaning GOP right now, but if the Dems win one or two, then we may be in for a very fun night. Indiana has three GOP seats being contested: the 2nd, the 8th, and the 9th. I think we are expected to win the 8th, and the 2nd seems to be leaning our way. IN-9 may be a toss-up. Winning 2 or even 3 of these seats in Indiana is possible. I think winning two in Indiana would be a victory for us.

... take the time to enjoy a nice dinner and relax before settling down at about 9pm to listen to the early returns. It gets serious right around 11pm and usually lasts until 1am or 2am. Even on the west coast, a relaxed dinner is advisable.
