agreed with the WSJ guy, saying it was a lost cause and why is kerry even bothering. and repubs were planning on giving bush a "little gift" tuesday morning of the confirm in time for his SOTU.
i, personally, would love to see those plans screwed.
btw: KO just admitted "he wasn't all here tonight". hmmmm.
and i know he's stuck with the NBC clones but can't he find anyone else, but whorah o'donnell, to comment on the white house?

5. "wasn't all here tonight" - lead-in for Oddball |
|
Bleah.
If he keeps this up, I'm going to stay away from KO for a while. Maybe it's time to petition for him to go on vacation and re-find his testicles while we get Allison Stewart in to keep the home fires burning...

7. Yesterday (Thursday) was horrible |

Kerry announces (yeah, yeah, "from Davos") that he's going to filibuster Alito's nomination and KO spends the entire freaking program on Oprah??? :wtf:
I don't give a flying fuck in a rolling doughnut whether the asshole author lied about his memoir or not. Likewise, I could *NOT* care less about whether Oprah got a freaking apology. I damn well *CARE* about the future of this country.
Throw the Oprah / author story into a "damn, my producers are making me do this but I have lots more important stuff to talk about first" segment and GET ON WITH IT.
Thanks a lot, Keith... I'm sure that Tweety could hook you up with some prime-grade Kool-Aid if you really want to go that route.
Keith closes every night with Murrow's "Good night, and good luck"... Something tells me that Mr. Murrow is looking down and shaking his head sadly.

9. That is SUCH a heap of malarkey. |

Keith doesn't LET GE "pull in the reins" on him. He has never done it before and he sure isn't starting now. Sheesh...just because he said the Dems seem to be rather ineffective and toothless right about now...all of a sudden he's the enemy? Man. I for one think he's right. They ARE being ineffective. Nothing wrong with a little tough love now and then.
"Not all there tonight"? That remark was a JOKE. He made it right before Oddball as a way of joking about the footage of the flaming Ford Taurus near Secaucus and pretending it was the car he'd just bought and was waiting to have delivered and that was why he "wasn't all there." It was a JOKE...he doesn't even drive.
Why did he spend so much time on the Oprah thing? Because of this: it's about the difference between truth and lies. Maureen Dowd pointed that out on the show last night. She and Keith were the only people I saw on my news connecting the fact that when you confuse fiction with fact in a book about addiction, it's not all that morally a long step from, uh, lying about WMD to start a war. Hello?!? No one else pointed that out that I can think of: that telling the truth matters, that lying in general is not a good thing, whether it's a book or a war.
Uh-uh. Keith isn't being "reined in." And I'm sure he never will be. You're just not liking what he put on his show, that's all. Well, Keith may not agree with you on everything. Imagine that! It still doesn't mean he isn't doing a damn sight better than anyone else on TV of showing news through a lens that isn't distorted way right.

Theory.
Yes, he supports anti-democratic, a-historical propaganda. Not that I'm ever surprised. KO simply isn't the Media Messiah some have made him out to be.
