The last two times America was screwed, it was in that time period when suddenly the exit polls were all "wrong" and the media was tripping all over themselves to backpeddle and explain the discrepencies.
I'll never forget hoe we went from Wolf Blitzer practically joking with Ted Kennedy that Kerry was Pres-elect, to Matthews getting the stop sign on air that things had "changed".
