Quick faxes to Senators at work today....

my last half hour of work (while still on the clock) i spent faxing as many senators as i could that were listed on DU as undecided - also faxed Reid just to show him he had support....i kept my letter short and to the point as first of all i didn't have much time - wasn't the greatest - and i was at work so i didn't really want people there to know i was typing up letters to senators on their time :blush:

anyway, here is what i wrote in my fax to all of them:

Dear Senator ________,

I am asking that you vote no and support a filibuster in the nomination of Judge Samual Alito to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Aside from the threat to overturn Roe v. Wade, I, among many other citizens of this country, are even more concerned with the idea of Alito's possible intention to allow the abuse or extension of power in the Executive Branch. We need a Supreme Court Justice who will uphold the consitution and law, not legislate from the bench by the influence of his personal convictions.

I hope you will decide to join the other Senators who have already declared they will support a filibuster.

faxed to both D.C. and District offices for most of them - towards the end I was running out of time so I just sent to D.C. offices.

4. The good news:

I sent the True Majority email to my senators today, asking them to support the filibuster.

The bad news:

My senators are Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn. I'm sure they'll get right on it.
