Chaffee (R) - has he decided yet? |
He was with us during the ANWR filibuster. I noticed on CSPAN during the Kerry speech today (YES HES HERE) that Chaffee was undecided. What are the odds of him defecting again?

2. Chaffee is in a tough spot |
He has an aggressive opponent this go round. I would bet that he is in RI this weekend, testing the waters for what his district wants him to do. This could be a boost or a breaker for his reelection.
I wish he would just switch parties and get it over with already. He really is more like us than them.

3. Dems have only 39 for a filibuster... |
If Chaffee turns, then we'll have enough votes. It will also be good PR. He being a republican and all. If Chaffee doesn't, then well - he's a Republican shill and we knock him on the head with it in his reelection bid this year.
