1. Plus, the actual FILIBUSTER starts Monday.
Some new activist types don't seem to know that.

4. I love how they ridicule him for doing it from Switzerland...
like somehow travelling abroad negates his citizenship.

Here's the hholli1 response to those critics (pretend I look good, although most of you have never seen me)

John Kerry's recent call for a filibuster of Sam Alito while overseas only demonstrates that Mr. Kerry has the national interest at heart, even when he travels abroad. It is a shame we do not have an administration that can multi-task in the same way. It does explain a lot about this administration's response to Hurrican Katrina, however. When a president only has a one track mind, the people's will cannot be accomplished.

I could go on and on, but y'all get the point.

7. The vote hadn't been scheduled
To get back as quickly as he did, he would have had to jump on a plane the second he heard Frist had scheduled it and travel non-stop and head straight to the capitol. By my calculations anyway.

8. These people need to realize also
that his is not Jimmy Stewart in "Mr. Smith Goes To Wasington"

Kerry is not going to get up to fillibuster. They don't do that anymore. Such comments just tell me that these folks don't know as much as they THINK they know.
