Edited on Sun Jan-29-06 02:12 AM by BigBearJohn

What you think about comes about!

What will all the NAYSAYERS talk about when we succeed!??

I am visualizing a successful filibuster!

1. Never Give Up.
I'm visualizing a filibuster too. And IMPEACHMENT. Doing a lot of visualizing these days. Visualizing is good for the soul.

2. America is turning the corner...
... and we helped it in the turning.

A short but simple paraphrase from a speech given to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in April 1971 by a young Navy Lieutenant John Kerry. A hero then, and a hero now.

I am visualizing a defeat of Sam Alito, adding to the GOP's woes and leaving it in tatters right in time for the 2006 elections... this is the crisis moment for our country; it's time to take it back now.

5. Nice picture you have.

11. Thanks!
And BTW, I ask myself that every day... who the hell chose that POS over a man who looks like he belongs on Mount Rushmore?

8. We must stand for something or we stand for nothing.
Just finished watching Mr. Smith goes to Washington...

Tell the Senators this:

Great principles do not get lost once they are brought to light.

It is time for the Democrats to lead this country out of the darkness and into the light!

Peace.

6. Amen
It's not over 'till it's over...and the last time I checked, it is definatly not over.

The point is that we're acutally being heard and are fighting. Alieto gets confirmed, fine; at least we put up resistance and made the Repukes sweat a little (more like A LOT!).

17. Made the Democrats sweat -- that's what's important
The Republicans are a lost cause. They lost their sould a long time ago.

But the point is that we are making the Democrats respond to the groundswell of anger and demands for change. That's already true, no matter what happens this week.

10.  You ain't kidding. I cant wait to see the egg on the face of the media
What amazes me is how sanctimonious these reporters
are... talking like it's a done deal... ha!
The easiest thing to change is someone's mind...
especially a politician's mind when thousand and
thousands of people are at his door with torches
and pitchforks!!!

12. To play the devil's advocate
There is nothing the media LOVES MORE than a "comeback" story or a controversy. This story has elements of both, and by portraying Alito as a "done deal" at first, the media has set the stage for this story to be a big one.

13. Hell yes.. everyone loves a good David & Goliath story.
It's just like when you finally confront the schoolyard bully
and stand up to him, he runs homes to mommy everytime.

But your photo looks less like John Kerry and more like Jimmy Durante... :)

I like the idea, but you don't do Kerry's handsome face any justice.

A Congressional Crisis will show all the degree to which the Constitution and Government is broken. We will find out how partisan the Supreme Court really is (after the 2000 election I have no doubt) when they answer the inevitable challenges. We might as well have the big fight now.
