I felt it necessary to explain to you why I oppose your nomination. I've been calling, faxing and e-mailing my Senators for several days imploring them to vote against you and I feel it important that you know why. Now when I say that I oppose you, I am not meaning you personally. I know that may be a bit hard to understand but in a way it's like when we say "we support the troops but not the war". Of course we support the troops, it's the ignorant greedy bastards that got them into this mess that I don't support. So when I say I oppose you, it's not you personally. It's your world that I am opposed to, sir.

As I look through your record, I see a man who has gained by being corporate and government friendly. I see a man who may have a higher regard to ideology than to reality. And I see a man who was chosen by the same man that chose Michael Brown to run FEMA. I do not know you, sir but I am opposed to you because I have no faith in you or the those that nominated you. I do not trust you to sit in judgment of my children nor do I trust you to sit in judgment of my President. You're confirmation hearing should have been a sales pitch not a cover-up. Sir, I do not know you because you refused to answer questions or danced around the answers like a fucking con-man. For you to sit in Judgment of Me, you must first sit in Judgment of Me. Well, sir, I have judged you and found you lacking. I oppose you because I do not know you. I am urging every Senator to vote against you and I urge you to learn how to interview for a fucking job.
