Dude. I still can't believe it. |
|
I have nothing clever to say about it, really...I just can't believe it. We got BOTH houses back.
I wish we could have a big real-life DU party where we could all meet each other and celebrate and then maybe it would sink in a little better.
I know the whole disillusionment thing is going to set in soon enough, but really, guys, take a couple days and just savor it. Because it really is SWEET.
mmmmmmm tasty,
The Plaid Adder

I'm having a glass (well, a couple of glasses actually) of wine to celebrate for the third night in a row. George and Dick better get some good lawyers, 'cause they're gonna need 'em.

There was some pretty anomolous shit going on in both VA and MT, in terms of the exit polls. Red shift all over again.

Seeing Pelosi commanding respect from Bush, watching Reid in the park with a cheering crowd - it all seems so surreal. As you say, the disillusionment will set in soon enough, but for now, it's all very, very sweet - and almost unbelievable. :hi:

It's like something has been expelled from me. I fee lighter cleaner and SAFER than ever. I swear to jeebus, i have been so scared the past 5-6yrs. It's almost as enlightening as when i went through Glasnost, and lost the fear of imminent nuclear war.
Serious! :scared:

25. The tension is gone. Adults back. I cannot wait for news to return to |

normal reporting instead of all the propaganda. That was truly sickening. And dangerous. My only worry is that most people didn't learn long term how dangerous liars & mystics are in power. Hopefully Bush will continue with his parade of lies for the next two years and the lesson will be reinforced.
Don't vote for empty vessels.

Savour it. You did more than your fair share. Now, during this brief respite, please put your feet up and enjoy your choice of tipple.
Breathe. It feels good, doesn't it?
Now the work really starts for the Democratic Party Majority (it feels good to type that). I have high hopes.
