Letter to Howard Dean
Short email I sent to Dean (similar letters also sent to the other fence-sitter democrats):

I urge you to withhold funding to senators who vote Yes on cloture or who are unsupportive of the fillibuster of Sam Alito. This guy wants to change the face of our democracy. This MUST be stopped. All funding supplied to the likes of Robert Byrd and others who are more than happy to accept money from MoveOn.Org and other so-called 'radical liberal' groups but unwilling to enforce their agenda or protect our Constitution should be returned in FULL so that it may be better spent on those with a backbone and who are willing to protect our Bill of Rights and Balance of Power.

1. Moveon and others are "nonpartisan" groups
Dean and the Democrats have nothing to do with their causes. Therefore, the Dems cannot tell them how to spend their money.

2. But don't be surprised if moveon and other groups

withold their funding and support from people who backstab all of us and vote for cloture.

Why might they do this- a lot of reasons, but one of them is that people like me WILL NOT send any money to groups donating to the campaigns of Alito supporters.

In fact, I think it would be in a LOT of groups best interests to make a statement to that effect.

3. I feel so inadequate, but could you please explain cloture to me?
I've been looking it up in several places, and for some reason, I just don't understand the simple term of it. Thanks in advance. :hi:
