Poem my wife wrote I wanted to share:

[The Straight Story]

(Can't blame a lucky guy like me for sharing this can ya?)

My Husband

We have seen the current of time run through our home like a flash flood
We have swam the dark currents and enjoyed the cool water in times of joy
We have held on to each other during the undertow of pain.
We have tasted the salt of tears and felt the warmth of each others touch
Like a garden embracing the sunlight we have always been planted firmly where we need to be.
Your roots are my roots now.

Our family tree, with its gnarled and twisted branches, gracefully bend in the momentum but they never break.

Bring on the rain……..

The sound of your footsteps is like an old song that I never tire of hearing

Play it again Sam……

Your laughter is like the rain drenching the parched sands of the desert
Its as old as time and as new as today

We have heard the concerto of a child’s laughter echo in our hearts
Our home has been a symphony
and we are playing in a three man band.

Harlem jazz has nothing on us baby…..

You have been my comfort like a lazy Saturday afternoon
You have been my lover and touched me like a slow fire burning
Your heart is like an island where only you and I play in the waves
The sandcastles of old dreams may have been washed away
but we always know when to rebuild them
My cup runneth over…..

May the fountain never run dry….

I love you babe….I know its short…but its my thank you for being the man that you are.
