I think that as we move from 100hours to 100 days, we will see conflict and compromise between the DLC and the progressives.
The DLC will find themselves facing the will of the people who made this a historical midterm.

What I hope is that the corporatists get trounced in our party as well. I believe that this is not an idle hope. I can see another period like the Roosevelt (teddy) administration, and the tremendous reform movements of that period.

But I worry that events are going to swallow up this next two years. Remember Iran? remember North Korea? Remember Global warming? Remeber
Peak Oil?

These have not gone away, and I guess if there is one thing that must happen-- is to help America
come to terms with reality. Because Dubya has really screwed us up. And the reality is that the 21st century
cannot be 'The New American Century', Dem or Repug, the world is too close to calamity for 20th century consumption of oil and energy
is not sustainable.

One last reminder: remember what the pentagon said about the effects of climate change on global political stability.
We have a lot of work to do to even begin to be getting ready for it.

But my candy shop wish list is simple. Universal healthcare, a military approx 1/4th its current size, public education free to the 16th grade.
