1. Why aren't those Merry Christians in Iraq? They could make them gay.
Mehlman, Haggart, Jeff Guckert. Onward Gay Christian Soldiers!

2. Not this again
I wrote the following as a LTTE on this subject last year. I may have to submit it again if people don't STFU about "banning" Christmas.

"I’m sorry, but have I missed something?

I haven’t been following politics too long, but I fail to recall any edict handed down from the government that absolutely forbade people from celebrating Christmas.

Gee… if such a law was handed down from the government, nobody has paid much attention to it. I’ve seen just as many churches celebrating Christmas and manger scenes as I saw last year. Christmas seems to be doing quite well, despite talk that it has been banned.

I must be out of the loop, as I wasn’t aware that it was Wal-Mart and Target’s Official Duty to uphold Christmas by requiring their employees to say ‘Merry Christmas’ instead of ‘Happy Holidays’. But then again, we all know that Christmas will absolutely self-destruct if a clerk at Wal-Mart says ‘Happy Holidays’ instead of ‘Merry Christmas’.

Christmas and Jesus both have survived more than two thousand years without needing governmental support, the phrase ‘Merry Christmas’, or the help of franchises such as Target. I wonder why people suddenly think that Christmas is so fragile.

Let’s stop requiring people to celebrate Christmas the Christian way, and allow them the freedom to celebrate it their way. There are lots of Christians in our country, but there are just as many non-Christians, who have just as much freedom to not celebrate Christmas and other religious holidays as Christians have to celebrate them. "
