Still need to keep the Dems we gave this freedom to - honest. Hold their feet to the fire. But I'm trying to chill as I observe. Here's to unity!

6. I think some DUers aren't happy UNLESS they are picking a fight
And only 2 days after the greatest Democratic victory in over 10 years.

Sigh.

8. Not me

I can be very confrontational (online) when I want to be. But I'd rather pick fights with right-wing fundies. And win. Pisses the hell out of them, and it's fun! I like you guys. We're bretheren.

10. I don't understand the fighting going on here...
People wanna leave the party, wanna start a fight with the Blue Dogs (we wouldn't have won without them, whether you like it or not!), demand impeachment or else...

The party's just beginning! Regardless of what Rahm says, I'm ready for a united Democratic Party to govern and do what's best for the whole nation.

15. I see some very serious discussions going on as to how we will work to shape
policies based on the mandate the Dems recieved. Several important things are at stake. The first is whether the mandate will be subverted to the corporate interest in our party. The second is likend to it: Will we dare use the power we were given to advance the will of the people. We have all that dry powder saved up. If we do not use that power for the people, the people will be handing the Dems the pink slips next time around! We will have to stay on top of our Dems like stink on shit to push them forward. It would be political suicide for the Dems to continue to pull their punches.

18. "I'm not a member of an organized political party - I'm a Democrat"
That was a quote from Will Rogers over 70 years ago. It was true then, and it's still true today.

We're doomed to form circular firing squads, even when we win.
