3. Considering he thinks we're doing "fine" in Iraq, that Brownie did a 'heckava job'...
...that the economy is doing 'great', that 'freedom is on the march', and ten thousand other delusional statements, I can't say I'm surprised that he's surprised...

5. i had my suspicions with this guy that he was TOTALLY clueless
but i would say to self no way anyone is so delusional. this is an accurate statement about his whole period in office and reinforces all we have thought over the years. when surrounded by good news only people and refusal to look at reality i guess you can believe everything is fine regardless of all the in you face contradiction. if one never allows themselves to see the in you face contradictions. this is the whole repugs party sitting in front of fox news thinking they have a clue about what is going on around them

7. How about the line: "somehow the people thought stay the course
was our Iraq policy"! I really had to laugh at that one.

8. Sometimes, controlling the media can backfire!
We heard "stay the course" so many times directly from Bush, and who knows how many times from his "portable public chorus" (as Olbermann says) that "stay the course" really sunk into the national consciousness.
