Will Dems change No Child Left Behind in 07?
I am a teacher in Philly and I hope the dems do something to destroy this crap or at least make major changes. Anyone hear any info on this?

1. They had better. It was a swindle and an anti-public education
scheme from the beginning and Ted Kennedy was double-crossed on that legislation.

3. I hope so!! My children lost elementary foreign language and choir over this
EVERYBODY hates those dumb standardized tests. What they do is flatten out the education in states, so the better schools in better areas that actually TRY to give something a little extra to the kids are punished, and it becomes the smartest strategy to only focus on weaker students, get the weakest put into special ed so they won't have to be counted, and ignore the smartest. It will have a flattening effect, and it forces kids to pay too much attention to "bubble" type standardized tests with strict narrow curriculums. Teaching to the test.

In fact, I believe it should be one of the new 110th Congress's first priorities.
