According to wikipedia it doesn't even carry a sentence. However, luckily it doesn't forgo criminal proceedings, even though, allegedly:

"Nixon's first vice president, Spiro Agnew, asked the House to impeach him in an effort to forestall indictment and prison on charges of tax evasion and money laundering. House Speaker Carl Albert refused, and Agnew resigned as part of a plea bargain on 10 October 1973."

It doesn't seem likely that *that* article's been tampered with, although it's possible.

7. No, I think it would only go towards dividing DU even further than it already has.
I would like all people to be in the discussion, but that won't happen if people simply pigeonhole themselves into different forums and use them as echo chambers.
