We have Joe.
Yippee yah...jump up and down.
Whatever.:eyes:
Joe wasn't loyal to the Democratic process. He would have had more honor if he KNEW he wasn't going to respect the will of the Democrats if he lost to have just run as an Independent in the first place. In a primary, losing is always a possibility.
For those who are apologizing for him...how much Democratic money was spent on the Lieberman-Lamont race that could have better been used somewhere else in another campaign?
Think about THAT for a minute.
Yeah. We got Joe. Sad thing is that we need Joe. However, It doesn't mean that we have to like it. Many of us don't.
He has no honor. Plain and simple.
He is the bitter aftertaste of victory.

1. Let's reject Joe and along with it our Senate majority!

I mean, what else are you proposing?

People have to realize that the stuff they complain about on a Democratic message board has no bearing on anything.

Actually, in a way they do, otherwise it wouldn't get so ridiculous.

2. Where did I say that?
What part of "We need Joe" don't you understand?
And what are you doing posting anyway?
Shouldn't you be out saving the democratic process instead of typing to those of us in our pajamas and computer caves?

4. I am teaching people to fish, rather than giving them fish.
I'm slick like that.

3. Has anyone asked you to like it?
You're right, we need him , we have him and the he was the choice of the people of Connecticut. I would have preferred Lamont but it didn't happen.

5. The benefit to cost ratio is terrific on the investment.
Hell, I might rather own Whole Foods, but garbage companies have earnings and pay dividends, too.

7. Real Life isn't about names, labels, or 'parties'-
we can wear any badge we like- it is what we DO that matters-
Lieberman hasn't shown 'me' that he thinks or acts like someone from the party I've come to know as "Democratic"- so despite the 'association' I expect nothing from him-

Look at what "Americans" have done to this world- yet, how many of us, would have, and HAVE acted to stop and change the direction this nation has been going in?

It isn't the numbers, it isn't the 'party'- unless people's allegiance is to some faceless agenda- and not to heartfelt, well thought through decisions-

Guess I make a lousy Democrat- but I would like to think I wouldn't have voted with the majority on many of the decisions 'our' party voted on- like going into Afghanistan, or Iraq- or the " ahem... Patriot act"......

Where were our 'principles' then?

Cynthia McKinney, and Barbra Lee were among the very few who voted 'my' conscience and perspective-
Lieberman and I agree on almost nothing-
