Bushbot co-worker overheard today whining about Virginia marriage amendment passing |
|
seems he is furious because it could affect common-law marriages of heteros too... he was busy ranting.
wow - he was okay with voting creating second class citizenship for a segment of the population (gays) and then realized that the segment affected will include HIM - now suddenly it's "WRONG, WRONG i tell you" ! :eyes: Too late Bunky....

2. Well why doesn't he get married? |
|
The nuclear family is the bulwark of the Right Wing. Does he want the trappings of marriage while still fancying himself a bachelor? Sorry, bub, can't have it both ways in Black and White Wingnut World.

3. At least he has the option |

of marrying or not. Our GLBT brothers and sisters don't. Typical conservative reaction, it's ok to deny some Americans equal rights, as long as theirs are intact. Hypocrites. It looks like conservatives are devoid of whatever it is in human beings that allows us to empathize with others.

7. Could be a teachable moment |
|
"Gee Dingleberry, you're right. This measure was so poorly written that it could affect your relationship. How do you feel about the electorate presuming to pass judgment on the validity of you and your main squeeze's relationship? It doesn't feel too good, does it? Seems kind of intrusive, huh? Maybe it would be better if people who don't know anything about you and your main squeeze would refrain from passing laws willy-nilly like that. What do you think?"
It might take a few conversations, and the sputtering and popping as the tiny two-watt bulb he has for a brain will be annoying as it tries to light up, but it just might come on. You never know.
