1. C-Span says Bingaman is a "NO" on Alito...BUT

I've heard from other reports that he's swaying on cloture.

CALL/FAX from the various lists on this forum.

2. I just emailed and also called Bingaman's local office on voting NO on

cloture...I called last week about the vote, now the lines to DC are all tied up, 800's and the direct line to the office.....

In my email I told him that I would be watching the votes of all my reps closely...that as a registered Democrat, I wanted to vote for a Democrat, not Republican-lite...

I just did and asked how things are going. She said they have gotten alot of calls and a LOT in favor of a filibuster. So things are looking good as far as our work goes. But they still need to hear from more of us.

I called my friend in New Mexico and told her friends to get to calling.
