I Feel Represented today.
I have heard a lot of criticism of Kerry today from Democrats wringing their hands that our fight comes at a heavy cost. They say that Kerry is simply caving to pressure. Good. Cave in. Listen to us.

I don't care if Kerry stands alone. I don't care if we lose. I don't care if it means losing the filibuster.

Today I feel represented and isn't that the pinnacle of our democracy? Representation in the governing body of our country?

Many of you should ask yourselves what our founding fathers risked. Ask yourselves whether they worried that people would think they were opportunists. Ask yourselves where you would be today if they decided not to risk writing the Bill of Rights for fear that the measure would not be supported across the country. Ask yourselves if Lincoln worried whether the south would like to be unified with the North.

Stop criticizing courage. I for one say thank you Boxer, Feinstein and Kerry for REPRESENTING me.

1. It's disgusting how often we've heard...

the term "caving to pressure" lately. Dammit, they are supposed to represent us! Is it preferable to have someone like Bush, who does whatever he wants regardless of how the people who gave him his job feel about it? The underlying message is that someone who "caves" is weak--not a Real Man like our boy Dubya. :eyes:

2. Very well said
California and Massachusetts people should feel honored to have fine Senators such as Kerry, Kennedy, Boxer and Feinstein. They are Americans through and through.
