2. It was predicted the Repubs closing the gov't in the '90s would hurt them-
and look what happened. They're now in the first permanent step of implementing their shift to Theocratic/Capitalism that America (apparently) so desperately needed.

3. cant hurt
Well being as the democrates do not control anything ATM, it can't hurt! The media is just tellin its side as if its the reality but in fact it is just more propoganda. CNN has been saying for days now that a filibuster will just hurt the democrates come election time. Yeah because diebold electronic voting machines and rigged elections dont hurt at all :)

The media is lying because its all owned by 5 people who control the information that most americans hear and see. Those people will do anything to maintain thier power.

5. Will a piece of corn hurt a turd?
Jesus, how much more hurt can we be? If we lose this, we've lost much more than a vote or a procedural move. We've lost the constitutional protections we all grew up with. Life will be different. Sure, some won't notice squat. They'll be the ones that remain (or convert to) Republicanism, because they'll never encounter a need for government help, or a safe abortion for their daughter. They'll just continue to be amazed at the size of their tax cuts, convinced that it must be good for America, because they can have a 4,500 sq ft home and afford to heat it, too!

But the democrats in the trenches are fighting for them, even if they never realize it.

If you can still post a response to this, thank a liberal.

6. Easy...
It might not help, but it certainly can't hurt.

The Dems have been criticized for not having a backbone, so a filibuster would at least end that argument.

BTW, did anyone see Meet The Press yesterday, when the one clown said, 'One of the only things Bush has done right are his nominations for Supreme Court.'. I was disgusted until Russert said, (paraphrasing) 'Does that include Harriet Miers?'.
