Just called Sen. Warner's (gang of 14) office -
Asked that he support the Democrat's right to filibuster the Alito nomination. Stressed that I am opposed to him supporting the "nuclear" or "constitutional" option to limit debate.

Staffer was polite but not interested...

One interesting thing - I couldn't get through to the DC office - it just rang and rang. Didn't go to voicemail or disconnect. I called the local Richmond office and asked that she relay the message.

1. It's Obvious that Sen. Warner Doesn't Care What His Constituants Think

2. true - but as long as I still have the right to express my opinion
I'll do it. At least Warner's staff s polite. Rep. Cantor's people are snippy once they realize it's not a call of support.

Hey, they need reminders every so often that democrats exist in VA!

I've called/faxed the "leaning dems" so thought I'd do one more call...
