All they have to do is listen to the people (most Democratic voters are vehemently opposed to Alito) and represent our interests. This is not about bullying. This is a serious issue. Our elected representative have decided that the voters (not just the base because there are Republicans and Independents just as opposed) don't matter.

I made sure to explain I'm just a 48 year old grandmother from rural America, AND that the new thing is that as our kids get on their own we will have disposable income. Whether it goes to the DSCC or somewhere else is dependent on what these Senators do today.

Told them I was a lifelong Dem, and that hubby and I had just gotten to the point in the past few years that we had some disposable income to donate to Dem candidates, and we have been doing so. HOWEVER, if the Democrats can not develop a spine and filibuster Alito, no more $$ from this household. Said that they need to block Alito because he is a grave danger to our Constitution.Asked her to pass this on to Sen Schumer and the others.
She politely said thank you and "have a nice day".
