Cabler in new era with Dems

By MICHAEL LEARMONTH
NEW YORK -- The midterm elections ushered in a new political era for the country. Will it bring a new era for Fox News?

And each time FNC crosses a milestone, pundits look for a political reason to attribute to its success.

But last week's midterms gave it two big reasons not to succeed.

Throughout election night, the Fox News studio was eerily quiet as the drama unfolded.

The tiny studio a reminder that though Fox bills itself as "the most powerful name in news," it still operates on a shoestring compared with the facilities and promotional budgets lavished on CNN's shows.

1. It was hilarious to tune in there for a minute or two Tuesday
I thought the next time I turned back you'd just see bodies strewn around the set like the Jonestown Massacre.

2. We don't get FOX news here ...
... and I was dyin' to watch it on election night!

I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment - when they're the ones getting the public spanking.

So thanks for the quick summary - "bodies strewn around the set" was pretty much what I was picturing.

5. Faux/Bushco News had 8 GOP'ers to every D according to accuracy
media. They were certainly far from fair and balanced.

They tried to be W's Pravda and capture the right wing bushbots as their market.

They are in total collapse now.

8. Democrats should simply declare Faux irrelevant and refuse to appear . . .
on any of their programs . . . particularly O'Lieley's . . . they'll change their ways right quick or go under . . .
