Repub reasons for losing the election |
|
The repubs have a laundry list of reasons/and who to blame for losing the election. Whether or not a particular reason has merit - it does show they still refuse to take responsibility, prefering to blame someone or something else
To date:
-- Iraq -- Rummy's resignation should have been BEFORE election -- People don't understand that the economy is great -- party platform too "leftist" -- too many bush* bashers -- district gerrymandering -- Rove -- the Media -- Terrorist propaganda -- bush* -- macaca -- mud-slinging campaigns -- Candidates ran away from bush* -- Candidates ran to closely with bush* -- Keith Olbermann
I'm sure there will be more as the mental-masturbation over the election continues. feel free to add to the list

4. How about gross executive incompetence? |
|
Edited on Mon Nov-13-06 08:17 AM by MGD
Failure of the chief executive to uphold the Oath of Office? How about cutting taxes for the wealthy before iniatiating a protracted and failed war? How about 9-11? How about Katrina? How about gas @ $3-4/gallon; How about Ken Lay? Bob Ney? Tom Delay? Tom Noe? Bob Taft? Denise Kozlowski? Jack Abramoff? Randy Cunningham? Mark Foley? How about the distinct lack of WMDs in Iraq? How about 2,800 dead US soldiers with nothing to show for it except a civil war? How about $340 billion wasted in Iraq with nothing to show for it but a civil war? How about $8.6 trillion in national debt? How about removing Habeus Corpus from the constitution and replacing it with legalized definitions of torture? How about legalizing wiretapping of US citizens at the President's discretion? How about no bid contracts to Haliburton? How about Abu Grahib? How about a Republican congress that has rubber stamped all of this bullshit? How about North Korea exploding a nuclear bomb? For fuck's sake, can anyone name one good god-damned reason why these assholes should remain in power? Because they have an "R" beside their name? Is that it?

5. Well since their president got us into Iraq, I fail to see how "Iraq" as a reason |
|
for their losses absolves them of responsibility.
They were all fine to be on the Dixie Chick CD crushing, Freedom Fry eating, fascist bandwagon while it was winning them elections.

Yes, we are hearing a lot of Repukeblican excuses for why these lost the election.
But why aren't we hearing more from Dems and others as to why the Dems won?
Why aren't they asserting more forcefully the fact that they are the ones who truly represent the interests of the public and the needs of our great country? Yes, I am aware that the vote count numbers clearly reflect that truth. But let's see the Dems forcefully say it so that everybody -- including the Pukes -- will have those thoughts impinged on their minds.

7. They Keep Saying They Didn't Lose...America Just Doesn't Get It... |
|
I woke up in the middle of the night and C-SPAN had some of our favorites, including Brent Bozell giving their anal-isis of the election. This sanctimonious schmuck dared to say the results on Tuesday was not a Democratic victory but somehow a glitch in the "revolution"...a correction that was "needed" to get back on the "true course". He's firmly convinced Pelosi will force everyone to turn gay, have abortions and tax everyone into oblivion, and that surely will mean a big GOOP landslide in '08.
