Poll question: If letting a mass murderer go free could help improve the quality of life for others... |
|
If letting a mass murderer go free could:
1)Help improve the quality of life for others, and
2) Generally bring about more good consequences than what would occur if the mass murderer was imprisoned or executed...
Assuming once let free, the mass murderer would never be able to hurt anyone else again...
Which option would you prefer:

...you're talking about Bush, right? He's not like your normal psychopathic murderer who's going to commit his crimes out of some twisted compulsion; he's a political whore who tested all the boundaries and found no one willing to stand up to him. If he is punished, the next demagogue will think twice before attempting the same crimes.

2. I know we have to think about 2008 |
|
But something about the idea of just letting Bush walk off into the sunset just doesn't sit well with me.

You know that 'deterrence through punishment' only applies to the nearly million people busted for marijuana possession last year. Those people are now 'saved' -- what would you have us do...approve of their actions and ignore the problem!!!!! OMG!!!
Do you really want to tie the hands of the President by making him second guess whether what they are doing is constitutional or even legal do you...???
Why do you hate America???

The revenge-driven mindset of #2 leads nowhere good.

4. I reject the premise of the poll. |
|
I'm not sure that would ever be the situation in reality.
