Your Congress - back at work for you... |
|
The Congress has just resumed work on the lame-duck session. With everything left undone and only a month or so to go, what has the House started out with?
The Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act
which seems to be geared to protecting poor animal labs and related businesses from "terrorist" groups like PETA.

1. Well, PETA and ELF do terrorist acts |
|
But I fail to see why current laws are not sufficient.
Besides, if I recall, there are many pressing budget bills that are weeks behind schedual that need passing ASAP.
Surprise, surprise, schedualing a mere 96 days in session just didn't cut it this year...

More police state bullshit. Lets just label as many people as many people as possible terrorists, no talking. I sure wish Sensenbrenner's smarmy ass would have lost...

4. So ELF has never torched car dealerships or housing developments? |
|
C'mon. Well, I may be wrong about PETA. I don't consider freeing monkeys terrorism. But arson for political purposes sounds like terrorism to me.
Now, the fact that they pay more attention to ELF than the Michigan Militia types is a grave mistake, IMHO. But that does not make ELF exempt from scrutiny.
