A long-time Republican lawmaker from the North metro has been arrested for alleged domestic assault. State Representative Mark Olson of Big Lake is being held in Sherburne County jail after allegedly assaulting his wife. Olson's wife, Heidi, called police to their home yesterday afternoon on a report of domestic assault. Olson is being held in jail on fifth degree domestic assault, a gross misdemeanor. Olson was just re-elected to his eight term to the Minnesota House
