He had a good long run there, ridin' high, top o' the world ma, major honeymoonage, but that honeymoon set right after Katrina blew through. But the next two years? Good god how will his tiny brain handle it?

There is such a shit storm headed right for him that's gonna make Katrina look like a breeze, and I am so, so going to enjoy watching the sucker sweat oceans of flop sweat.

After his humiliating thumpin' and now daddy's further humiliating intervention his mighty ego is taking a beating and his monkey brain will not be able to stand there and take it.

I bet he's thinking, 'what the fuck was I thinkin'?

3. He'll be more tightly scripted than ever.
Not a word will come out of his mouth for the next two years that isn't read off of a teleprompter.

had to compromise, consider other points of view, listen, learn, change, moderate, give, think, or even WORK. It will be a treat watching him try to throw his little bitty weight around and tell people to jump. The Dems won't ask him 'how high' the way the Repugs do.

5. He was barely capable for the last six years
And that was under the most favorable circumstances and most permissive public opinion imaginable. The next two years, with an actual opposition in a position to do him some damage? Whoof! Resigning might seem like a real good idea, if not for the sake of the country (which Bush could hardly care less about), but for his own good.

8. He wasn't mentally fit to handle the last 40.
His history makes it clear that his entire life has
been a series of screwups that had to be 'HANDLED'
for him by others; almost always Poppy or Poppy's cronies.

Dubya has NEVER actually succeeded at anything he's done.
The pattern of his entire life has been:

1: Start something with Poppy's guidance,
2: Crash-n-burn,
3: Poppy to the rescue,
4: GOTO 1.

Edited on Mon Nov-13-06 04:58 PM by Graybeard
Was it an act? It kept him from impeachment. Bush now appears
so deranged that his Poppy had to send in some keepers with
straight-jackets (Baker, Gates ). Is it an act?

12. Yup, that is why we now have Baker and Gates.
The cold cynicism of these people is too shocking for words. GHWB could have sent those guys in a long time ago and saved a lot of lives and human misery and tragedy. But, no, little Georgie had to be given a real shot at being a world leader. What were they thinking? This isn't a virtual reality show.

10. Too bad this isn't a Peter Seller's movie. It'd be quite funny. . .
not so much for us, though, not so funny at all.

11. Based on Past Performance, I See A "Meltdown" In His Future....
There have been 'rumors' he is drinking and taking Prozac, and there are the 'accidents' we know about --like the pretzel incident, etc.

He displayed rambling anger in his recent press conferences, and has admitted he lied to newsmen about firing Rumsfeld.

I just think he is going to be under a lot more pressure now that he has lost complete control of both Houses of Congress. He does not take 'no' as an answer very well, you can imagine what is going to happen when the DEMs take over both Houses....

I predict he will be rambling "off the reservation" on a regular basis, and if he is drinking, or is medicated they will have to up his dosage.

15. he just has to stay gone on junkets
occasionally address a hand-picked audience of shills and spew some predigested RW talking point.

meanwhile, the capitalist oligarchy will thwart any attempt the Democrats make toward an actually Democratic agenda

they'll use all the tricks they honed assassinating Clinton's character.

16. I don't think we're going to be seeing a whole bunch of the old cowboy
from here on out. No way they'll let him do an unscripted presser. And as for fundraisers, rallys, and the like .... wouldn't be surprised if the invites were few and far between this election season.
