Impeachment is about Democratic balls as well
Edited on Mon Nov-13-06 07:25 PM by boolean
Not even bringing up that chimpy MUST be impeached because he is a fucking criminal, if the Democrats don't push for impeachment, they'll absolutely deserve the label that the corpomedia has put on them for the last 2 decades.

When the pukes impeached Clinton, they KNEW he would be acquitted in the Senate. They KNEW it was all bullshit, anyway. They KNEW Clinton's approval ratings would probably rise. But they did it anyway, because they also knew that it would energize their base, that it would give them the image as the party of "moral values", and that they would be able to sell that particular snake oil to the sheeple in 2000, which they did successfully.

The sheeple are stupid. That's why we call them the sheeple. They want to see LEADERSHIP. They don't give a flying FUCK about all the issues we argue about here on a daily basis. They will vote for the guy with the balls over the guy that promises free healthcare or gay marriage or election reform. Deep inside, everybody truly cares about issues. But when it comes time to vote, it's all about character, and you guys ALL KNOW IT. They voted for chimpy in 2004 because he "stood up for what he believes in", even though every single goddamn thing he believes in is against their best interests and has been completely, categorically WRONG every single time.

Do you want the corpomedia to once again label the Democrats as a bunch of spineless wussies? I know it's an uphill battle with the media for us, but damn it, we can fix that. Impeachment will give the Democrats that fresh new image that they desperately need. No more of this "wishy washy" Democrat nonsense. Impeachment will show the sheeple that the Democrats not only care about them, but also that the Pukes are a bunch of no good criminals, and also that the Democrats HAVE BALLS. The Democrats will NOT take the shit flying from those monkeys any longer. THAT is what impeachment will bring the Democrats, in addition to the JUSTICE that the American people deserve, in addition to the DISGRACE that chimpy and cheney and the rest of this fucking administration deserves, all on top of the fact that the majority of the people WANT IT.

Time to put up or shut up. Are we a bunch of jellyfish, or are we gonna kick some fucking ass? Are we going to let this douchebag "president" get away with the damage he has done, or are we going to give the pukes another bullet point for their "Democrats are sissies" meme?

ENOUGH. Grow a pair.

(Note: To all people without balls: IT'S AN EXPRESSION. Christ.)

Pelosi?

The House Democrats will not vote until January, she may be exposed by then.

3. Agreed!
Also, the Republicans did benefit from Clinton's impeachment when Bush got put into office (twice) and when they got their trifecta!

18. No. The Republicans would have done better than under 50% if they hadn't impeached Clinton.
Impeaching Clinton polarized the electorate. The Democratic party is disproving the Rovian doom-think of 50% plus one, the divider-not-uniter strategy of base-based politics.

8. When you wrote "balls", it implies only men have the courage. Drop the sexist term, please.
It is a favorite term over at Freeperland, and it is completely unnecessary when you could just as easily use "guts" or "courage" or "brave", which would be more thoughtful and less knee-jerk reactionary.

12. Racists said "Mighty white of you" was "just an expression".
Homophobe bigots say "How gay" when they want to shoot down something. They say it is "just an expression". Racists said "Mighty white of you" was "just an expression". Those expressions were "well used" in their day. Most of us have progressed. Please join the progressives.

17. Ah yes. Balls.
I keep forgetting the value of governence by erection. I would think that after 6 years of the Republicans showing off their balls, we would have all realized that brains make better leaders than balls do.

Our purpose isn't to show the Republicans who's boss. We're the good guys. Our purpose is to fix their shit.

It's HILARIOUS that the majority of the replies here are about what expression I chose to use instead of the content of the message. If I could edit it, I guess I'd replace "balls" with "spine". Sheesh.

Political correctness is a cancer on discourse. In my opinion, I did not cross any lines. You all know what I meant. I even used "wussies" on purpose. Normally, I'd say pussies. I guess Skinner should add "balls" to the list. This place is so goddamn squeaky clean I'm surprised these issues still come up.

28. Then why use genitalia?
You are digging a deeper hole for yourself while proclaiming to be sensitive you keep adding to your insensitivity.

Look, if anyone is insulted then it only makes sense that PC has nothing to do with it but empathy and understanding might be lacking. You are insulting many people here. When there are many non inflammatory words that could be used you keep picking words that are insulting. I think that this may say more about you than those of us who are offended.

It assumes inadequacy.

It's not about the intent of the person who says it. I'm sure you didn't intend to insult Pelosi.

37. Backbone to impeach AFTER we save lives!
Agree that BushCo should be impeached; for his crimes are way above the bar the rethugs set for Clinton.

However, FIRST we need to do the more important business of putting our energy into ending this tragic f'd up war. Easy to speak of balls and backbone when yours are not on the line to get blown up by a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device. We won on the war - we gotta do all we can to end it. Then and only then can we allocate the resources needed to impeach. Though I'd enjoy nothing more then to see BushCo impeached yesterday; there are too many lives on the line that need even more immediate attention, both in Iraq and Darfur!
