Ed Schultz stood up for Howard Dean today!

He gave Dean props for the 50-state strategy and said he didn't agree with efforts by some to "throw him under the bus". I just thought I'd mention this because many DUers don't seem to like "Big Eddie" and think he's much less progressive than he actually is.

1. Eddie gets a cookie

And he's a Hillary Democrat too. If Carville has an ulteriour motive for suggesting Ford, it has something to do with his affiliation with Hillary, hence I'd expect Big Eddie to be agreeing with Carville. I'm glad to be wrong.

That's awfully big of Big Eddie.

Make that two cookies.

2. He likes Howard Dean

And BTW: I like Big Eddie. He's not a far-left bomb thrower, but he's entertaining, has great guests, breaks news and knows how to mix up the topics a bit to keep the show engaging. In short, he's far more entertaining than anything currently on Air America.

He knows how to do radio.

3. I'm shocked!

The last I heard about Dean and big ed was when ed was complaining that Dean wasn't raising enough money for the DNC..musta been last year or early this year.

I guess he saw what the results were of Dean's strategy and likes what he sees.
