After Bush leaves office , could he be called to testify before Congress? |

If the Democrats waited until he was out of office to investigate, could they subpoena him as a "civilian" to answer questions under oath? Furthermore, could he be held criminally liable if he was guilty of crimes, such as lying to Congress? Or could he tell them to go screw themselves, like he did when he was President? Do not past Presidents have the same legal rights as you and I? What could he do to escape such scrutiny-- go to Paraguay?

The fear that pops up when I read your post, is that somebody will pardon Bush pre-emptively.
I'm inclined to think that we've got to squash the bug now, while we can.
